Notes: 1881 Canada Census for St James, Charlotte Co, NB: James GLASS M Male Irish 47 New Brunswick Farmer Catholic Mary GLASS M Female Irish 46 Ireland Catholic Joseph GLASS Male Irish 20 New Brunswick Laborer Catholic Clara GLASS Female Irish 18 New Brunswick Catholic Emma GLASS Female Irish 11 New Brunswick Catholic In 1871 Census INDEX, listed as lumberman (would like full census, though). In 1865/66 Hutchinson Directory for St. Stephen Parish: Glass, James Millman Union Mills, Milltown Rd. Glass, Robert Millman Union Mills, Milltown Rd. Would give the appearance that Robert was either his brother or father. There may be a totally DIFFERENT Robert/James pair, as well, based on: Bocabec Presb. Cem., St Patrick, NB: Robert Glass, b. @1793, d. 30-Mar-1878, aged 85 years wife, Elizabeth, d. 01-Sep-1859, aged 67 years (b. @1793, as well) Martha Glass (w/o James), d. 23-Jan-1850, aged 28. This would make it a less likely match, as Martha would have been born 1822, 12 years prior to the James in Charlotte Co, who married Mary. The Martha in question was Martha Ballentine. They were married in St Patrick Parish (Presb.) on 6-Oct-18 43. Not likely closely related, actually. Likely the above pair, listed in 1871, as follows: Robert Glass - farmer in BOCABEC James Glass - farmer in DIGDEGUASH
