One LONGSHOT possibility is an Andrew Templeman who arrived in NY from Liverpoll, ENgland, in Oct-1856, aged about 26 years. If he married shortly thereafter and Rubina was born later in the year 1857, it's surely possible.
There was also a Confederate Cavalryman by the name Andrew J. Templeman who would have been around the right age, perhaps, but with connections to Virginia.
Given the name of one son, I wonder if the John Templeman below, b. 1853, might have been a brother of Rubina/son of Andrew & Patience?
