  • Name: Moses Miller Dykeman
  • Birth: Abt 1820 in: Queens County, New Brunswick, Canada
  • Death: 16-MAR-1865 in: Queens County, New Brunswick, Canada
  • Father: Richard C. Dykeman
  • Mother: Sarah Clark

Notes: Likely one TOO many "Elizabeths" for wives, but such is the joy of the puzzle. Surely J. Elizabeth was buried next to Moses as his wife, so she remains #1 for now.

Other researchers have indicated Moses was son of Moses and Phebe Curry, but that would make him the only direct relation to them in the Dykeman cemetery, other than Richard, of course. As Richard and Sarah SURELY had a Moses "M" Dykeman, have mo re reason to believe THIS is the right Moses, buried in Jemseg. Interestingly, based on marriage date for Richard and Sarah, he may NOT be their son!!!

He may also be the same Moses who married Sarah Cottle in Nov-1852 in Queens Co book.

For a desire to be as correct as possible, am listing him in BOTH families for now. Once absolute certainty is possible (if ever) then he will be placed ONLY in the proper family. Hard to imagine two males named Moses Miller Dykeman being bor n only a few years apart in the same village. Surely he was born AROUND 1820, and died in 1865.

Will probated 1865-1872 at Portland, Saint John County, New Brunswick, Canada.

His wife, "J. Elizabeth" d. 15-Oct-1851, in 27th year, and is buried next to him in the Dykeman Cemetery.
