Notes: "Came with two brothers from Scotland on the ship "Mary Jane" in 1789, and went to Culloden, Digby County, Nova Scotia." Early in Digby County history, were John and two brothers (Christopher and Michael). Though, there is also a Jacob Stark (Sturk) who was of Granville Township, and married in 1797 to Martha Hardy, with the following children: Benjamin & Jacob (t wins) b. 21-Aug-1798, Martha b. 26-Mar-1801 d. 21-Jul-????, Lydia & Ann (more twins) b. 8-Jul-1804. It's my concern that if these dates may be christening dates, the twins may not be so, but, may just have been christened on the same dates. Bit more research on the Jacob side... now.... back to John an d kin.... Aside from Christopher and Michael, it is generally assumed John also had two sisters, Mary, who married Samuel Cossaboom, 29-May-1793 at Digby, and Margaret, who married Frederick Robinson Cronk in 1802.
