Notes: It is with this generation that the earlier generations become impossible to sort through. Due, most likely, to the "Springer Hoax" which was set into motion in hopes of obtaining valuable land, through proof of descent from European Royalty. Th ere is quite a lot of discussion and theorizing on this Hoax and how messed up the lines might actually be. From all I've read, this particular generation is not in question, but those questions begin with the parents of Karl. Were they, indeed , Christoff/Christopher Springer and Beata Baltzar-dotter Salinus Springer? If so, and proved, then each successive earlier generation will need to be very carefully documented, in order to uncover the TRUE ancestry of the "Springers of Delaware" .

I would be glad to join this debate about Charles Christophersson Springer
(1658-1738)and his paternal ancestors. According to my opinion all
information beyond his father Christopher Springer in Stockholm has to
questioned. On the web on different sites you can follow his lineage back
to Charlemagne, in one case all the way back to Adam and Eve! Significant
for all these sites is the fact that are no sources or reliable proofing
given in any case. Talking about genealogy!
I think the origin of all this is "A Genealogical Table and History of the
Springer Family in Europe and North America, for Eight Centuries, from the
Earliest German Princes; Origin of Name, etc." published by Mr. Moses C.
Springer in 1881, and published in a second edition in 1913 by the Springer
Heirs Corporation.
As you might know the ancestors of Charles Springer’s mother Beata
Baltzarsdotter Salina is very well documented in "Charles Springer Family
in Swedish History" by Baldwin Maull.
Anyway I am an open minded person, and no one would be happier than me if
we could bring some light upon Christopher Springer’s ancestors because
they are my ancestors as well.
