CRAWFORD HANDFORD DALEY Crawford Handford DALEY, age 74,and 6 months a well
respected citizen,passed away at Marshalltown , March 6 after a long
illness of nearly six months duration ,which he bore with great fortitude
and patience. Born in Culloden ,he was the son of Sarah [VAN TASSEL ] and
Crawford DALEY ,Coming with his family to Marshalltown twenty -five years
ago. He followed the sea,fishing on the banks all his life ,until retiring
ten years ago. Left to mourn their loss are his wife , the former Edna
ABBOTT, and one daughter [Ruby] Mrs Harley MCCORMICK ,East Lynn, Mass;a
sister [Effie ] Mrs Jared BANKS ,Rossway and a brother , William DALEY,
Culloden . Funeral service was held Thursday afternoon from the home, Rev.
F.B. GASKILL, Trinity Church ,Digby officiating. Pallbearers were Crawford
R. DALEY and Bernard BANKS nephews of the deceased,Otis BELL and Lloyd
MCNEIL. Interment was in St.Paul's Cemetery , Marshalltown
