Of Sackville, N.S., now N.B., born Dec. 31, 1730 at Attleboro, MA. died June 17, 1817 at Sackville, NB, Canad marriage published Oct. 6, 1759, married Nov. 22, 1759, Jemima, daughter of Benjamin and Jemima (Briggs) Crabtree, of Attleboro, MA12, bo rn Aug. 7, 1737 at Attleboro, MA. died Apr. 9, 1807 at Sackville, N.B. Josiah served in the French War and went to Nov Scotia in 1763, to accept a land grant. He apparently was a loyal soldier of the Crown in the Revolution and helped repel the Re bels from Nova Scotia. He was a farmer in that section now called Middle Sackville, N.B. Josiah and Jemima are buried side by side in the Four Corners Cem. at Upper Sackville, N.B.
