Notes: This Thomas is a tough one, partly because there are any number of researchers unable to locate him in records, and identify his parentage. Part of the problem stems from the inability to locate his correct birthplace. To date, I've seen the fo llowing possibilities listed:

Downham, Norfolkshire, England
Downham, Bromley, Kent, England
Based on "numbers", one be able to determine he was surely born in England, likely in a town called Downham, and that is about as far as one could stretch it. Could very well be he was born in London, until someone finds a solid record of his ori gins, anyway.
