Notes: From WWI Canadian Enlistment/Registration papers:

Names: HARMON , BURDETTE WILLIAM
Regimental number: 5112
Rank: LT
Reference: RG 150, Accession 1992-93/166, Box 4064 - 6
DOB: 03-Apr-1888

Woodstock, NB, next of Kin, Mrs. A. W. Harmon, was in civil Service,
single, belonged to Active Militia,
served in 1st Field Company of Civil Engineers for two years (prior)

Initially signed 23-Sep-1914, at "Valcartier". (NOTE: Valcartier, Quebec, was site of one of several Internment Camps in Canada, during WWI).
5ft 7in, 36in chest, 2 3/4 inch expansion, fair complexion, brown eyes,
dark hair. scar on center of forehead, scar on loin, scar on right
forefinger. Baptist or Congregational, fit for duty on 1-Sep-1914, believe
he was already in service, as placename of Valcartier, and signed by a
Captain and a Sergeant.

"Interview" page, indicates born at Neal or Deal, Carleton, NB, resided
WOodstock at time of enlistment, Mother listed there are Mrs. Louisa
Harmon, which helps. He was not "currently" in military, but was working
two jobs, one as a fish hatcheries inspector (part-time) and full-time as
an undertaker , but lists unit currently belonging to as 1st Field Civil
Canadian Engineers, then unreadable explanation of duties.

There is readable "goods" though, indicating he'd served Two "camps" in the
1st Field Engineering totaling 15 months. 8 months in France, few months as
an officer in the Imperial Army, of which 3 months of those were in France.

Where officer's signature is required, it's Burdette's, and indicates he's
a Lt. in the 52nd Battalion of Canadian Expeditionary Forces, the date of
the "interview" was 25-Nov-1916, to this is possibly an "exit" interview?

What's also interesting is a Hattie Harmon m. Herman Butler on 21-Mar-1925 in Andover, VI Cert. No. is F19688 #3754. No birth or death records for Hattie Harmon... so it MAY be this Hattie who marr. 2nd to Herman Butler?
