Notes: Was "of" Brookfield, Wisconsin in Oct-1872, when transacted land deal with Chauncy Brownell. Apparently, he might have been selling Mr. Brownell the land he bought from Thomas Coleman in the same town, in April of 1868. Eli appears in Wisonsin in the 1855 Census, as well. COULD HE be the son of Chester Bordwell and Lucretia Huntley? That Eli listed as Eli M. Bordwell, but born 1825 died 1881... listing of birth is guess at Chicago, but may have not known full history when making that guess. Surely should be consi dered a possibility. 1880 US Census for Chicago, Cook Co, IL: Eli P.
