Fred's obituary appeared in the 6-Dec-1973 Digby Courier.
Also, it is likely, though more substantial evidence is still required to prove... that he was married, prior to Mary, to a Bessie Bunker, d/o Oliver Bunker, who died 03-Sep-1943. In Fred's obit, it lists three children as being from his "firs t marriage" as follows:

Myrtle - marr. Henry Comeau
