Notes: After marriage, and possibly before, moved from Gloucester to North Chelmsford, Massachusetts. She died at 7 School St., N. Chelmsford MA 01863. She always used her name "Fern" and was an accomplished china painter. She did a lot of thing s - including putting on shows for the church, events they still talk about and laugh as they recall some of the antics.

E. FERN RICKER OF CHELMSFORD
Mrs. E. Fern (Anderton) Ricker of Chelmsford died Dec. 1, 1998 at her home. She was married to G. Ashton Ricker Jr. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 3, 1998. She was born in Gloucester, Mass. on March 1, 1911 the daughte r of the late Roderick and Albertha (Hanspiker) Anderton. She was a graduate of Gloucester High School and Wilfred Hair Dressing Academy. In the 1940's she ran a kindergarten in her home. She worked at the North Chelmsford Post Office and was th e postmaster at the West Chelmsford Post Office. She was active at the Chelmsford Senior Center and delivered Meals on Wheels. She was a member of West Chelmsford United Methodist Church and active in all its shows. She was also a member of the Or der of the Eastern Star Puritan Chapter of Lowell. She was the mother of the late George A. Ricker III who died in 1996, and was the sister of the late J. Kenneth, Sherman, Bernard, Robert, William Anderton and Henrietta Christianson all of Glouce ster, Ma. Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter and son in-law, Marcia and Dr. Albert Brown of Chelmsford; a daughter in-law, Mrs. Loretta (Niedzwiecki) Ricker of Hopkinton; three grandchildren, Dr. Susan Englund, Christopher Ricker , and Holly (Ricker) Sennott, two great-grandchildren, Alina Luke and Andrew Englund, and several nieces
and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE
RICKER, of Chelmsford. Mrs. E. Fern (Anderton) Ricker died Dec. 1, 1998. Memorial service will be Sat. at 10 a.m. at the West Chelmsford United Methodist Church. Visiting Hours Fri. 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 Middlesex St. , Chelmsford. Memorials may be made to the West Chelmsford United Methodist Church.
