Notes: Some family records indicate she was baptized at the Mill Cove Baptist Church, Mill Cove, Queens County, New Brunswick, Canada, vice being christened (same date) at the Gagetown Anglican Church (St John's). In "Early Baptists of Cambridge Parish - Greenwood" we find the Camp Genealogical information indicating that Mary was dau. of George, not John, who married George Camp. SO!!!! Was it Mary, dau. of John who married Solomon? In same record, I se e a Solomon Camp married a Jane Spence and died (murdered) at sea. Listed with her daughter's family in 1871 Waterborough Parish Census. However, also in "Early Baptists", we find: "The Birthday of the Mill Cove Church could be considered as being on the 26th of June 1825 for it was then that John Branscomb, Ann McLean, Ann Elsworth and Mary Ferris were baptized. John Branscomb was the son of Arthur Branscomb and married Mar y Wiggins. Ann McLean married David McIntosh and lived in Mill Cove. Ann Elsworth was a daughter of William Elsworth. Her brother, Hanford, married Sarah Ferris, a daughter of George Ferris, the Loyalist. Mary Ferris was a daughter of John and Ma ry Ferris. The upper storey of their stone house was used to hold church services." Indicating Mary was baptized, possibly as an adult, in 1825? The Sarah & Mary Ferris quandry surely applies here. Sarah Ferris and Hugh Cameron, d/o ??? Sarah Ferris and Hanford Ellsworth, d/o ??? Mary Ferris and John Camp, d/o ??? Mary Ferris and Solomon Camp, d/o ??? Even Wiggins, between his various histories, does nothing to solve this quandry. Merely offering two perspectives. Needs a serious look to unravel.
