  • Name: Isaac Judson White
  • Birth: 03-AUG-1845 in: Digby County, Nova Scotia, Canada
  • Death: 07-MAR-1892 in: Digby County, Nova Scotia, Canada
  • Father:
  • Mother:

Notes: Parents seen listed as John Riley White and Hannah Sproule in more than one source. He is also listed as married to "Ermina Rebecca White" b. 19-Feb-1855 at Waterville, Kings County, NS. She died in 1884, which means it may very well be Ermina wa s 1st wife and Lylian was 2nd wife.

The "Isack" White "Jr." family appears as follows in the 1881 Canada Census for Hillsburgh, Digby, Nova Scotia:

Isack (Isaac) WHITE JR M Male English 33 Nova Scotia Watch Maker Baptist
(NOTE: If born in 1845, as indicated by LDS records, he "should" be listed as 35 or 36. "33" could also be a mistranscription of "35", so would not use this information for any "disproof")
Ermina WHITE M Female English 26 Nova Scotia Baptist (1st wife)
Budd R WHITE Male English 6 Nova Scotia Baptist
Lelle WHITE Female English 4 Nova Scotia Baptist
George WHITE Male English 1 Nova Scotia Baptist

Since Isaac is listed as "jr" in the 1881 Census, perhaps he is son or grandson of the Isaac White listed as "living" in 1831, in the Isaiah W. Wilson "Geography and History of the County of Digby" on page 146.

In Digby Census of 1891, the family appears as follows:

Isaac (Jr.) 38 (was 33 in 1881)
Ermina does not appear
Lillis S. 27
Budd R. 16
Lillah D. 14
George 11
Sadie May 6

Isaac does NOT appear in 1871 Census with the other Isaac White family (b. @1801, but not listed in 1881, perhaps dies prior as his wife, Sarah is listed as widow in 1881, age 60 (was 50 in 1871). Other "children" of Isaac (the "elder): Wealthy/Wa llie b. @1841, Obed/Obey (probably Obediah who married Zeruah ?) b. @1854, William, b. @1857 (married Annie S.) and Charles b. @1866.

If, indeed, Isaac (the elder) is Isaac's father (meaning "Isaac Sr.", then mention of him in Wilson's Digby book indicated he (the elder) came from Cornwallis, NS to Digby, and, around 1829, was co-resident with John Edward Wagoner, Sr. Dwellin g for a time in a house build by Mr. Wagoner, then, settling on a farm owned by his son, Obed (it seems to be Obed and NOT Obediah). Obed W. White was a licensed Baptist Minister.

  • Name: Lylian (Lillie or Lily Kenney or Kinney) S. Kenny
  • Birth: NOV-1864 in: Port Gilbert, Nova Scotia, Canada
  • Death:
  • Father: Mathew Kenney
  • Mother: Eliza Jane Lewis

Notes: Lillie/Lily was widow of Isaac J. White.

Digby Courier, Friday, Jan. 4, 1895
At the Baptist Parsonage, Digby on the 31st. of Dec. by the
Rev.A.T.Dykeman, David Handspiker of Mt. Pleasant to Mrs. Lily White of
Digby.

Further research indicates she may have been born as early as 1857 in Weymouth vice Port Gilbert, and that she and Isaac had issue: Sadie Mary White, b. 18-Oct-1884, Kinneytown, NS, d. 7-Dec-1911.

With Ermina (1st wife of Isaac) having died in 1884, there's reason to believe that even Sadie might have been born to Ermina, vice Lylian. Until a specific date of death is found, will not list Sadie as child of either.
