VanTASSELL, Barbara Grace "Barb" - Mount Pleasant, Digby Co., passed away Thursday, March 10, 2005, at the home of her sister on Lighthouse Road, Digby. Born in Culloden, Digby Co., on March 31, 1912, she was a daughter of the late L. Newton Ros s and Dora May (Handspiker) Ross. Barbara was a Red Cross volunteer for many years and was a member of the Grace United Church Women's Group. She is survived by her sisters, Doris (Ross) Tufts, Clyde River, Shelburne Co., and Aldyth (Leo) Kaye, Li ghthouse Road, Digby, who will miss her dearly, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Elliott Warren VanTassell; brothers, James "Jim", John, Edward "Ed", Frank, and Robert "Bob". Visitation will be 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Jayne's Funeral Home, 7 Birch St., Digby. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Grace United Church, Digby. Padre Earle Leslie will officiate, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Digby.
