Notes: May have married and had one daughter. Needs more work. Also, have Ernest listed in a couple of places as Ernest C. E. Handspiker (not sure of names associated with either the E or C). Another death record states he died 30-Oct-1932, aged 48 . No mention of marriage in obit. (Possibly a different person???) In 1901 Culloden Census he's listed as Ernest C.. HOWEVER, later research proved that Ernest E. Handspiker was in Annapolis Royal, Annapolis County, for the 1901 Census. He wa s listed as "Handpiker" and birth date listed as 25-Apr-1883, working as a domestic in the household of Vincent J. Rodgers, as follows:

LDS records indicate a birth date of 25-Apr-1884, at Broad Cove, Digby County, which matches 1901 Census, for Digby. This indicates he may have been "double-censused" as I have NO indication of another Ernest with such a close birth date. The ye ar being the only discrepancy, 1883 is the year listed on his gravestone.
