Notes: Possibly the son of John Stark and Janet MacIntyre (Jannet MacIntre)? or, the one listed as theirs, but equally possible to be Christopher's. IF so, one listed as christened in 1802, is said to have married Katherine, though no listing of marria ge or children for the John Stark christened 26-Feb-1805. Could THIS be him?

I checked Luton Cemetery and found Lawrence 1832 -- 1919, Margaret Truman, his wife,
died Sept 30, 1923 in her 85th year.

John is listed in 1842 Census of Malahide Twp, Elgin County, Ontario, as John Sturk. Possibly changed the spelling from Stark upon moving from NS to ON. Also appearing just a few lines above him is a Michael Sturk. and some distance below, a Geo rge Sturck... brothers? elder sons? The other possibility, since this John STURK claimed German ancestry, vice Scottish, is that there were two, distinct families, at one time, in Digby County. The Stark family, of Scottish descent and the Stur k family of German descent. This would surely explain many of the incongruities found within these names in Nova Scotia. Thankfully, this particular Sturk family migrated to Ontario, so became less entangled in the Stark/Sturk mess of Digby Coun ty.
